Brookfield Zoo

 Our first day in Illinois we went to the Brookfield Zoo with Matt's parents, his sister Beth and her son Jakobi. It is such a big zoo!! The exhibits were great, and looked as if the animals were in their own habitat. Emma had fun watching the dolphin show and looking at the polar bear play under the water. It wasn't crowded at all, so it was really nice to walk through the zoo without a lot of people there. It was a good first day! We wore Emma out, and she passed out on the way home. We took a lot of pictures and recorded some videos, enjoy!

While Jess and Mitch were staying with us, Matt did a video interview with them... just for fun. Here are the videos. SO Cute. (don't worry Mom and Dad, the videos are set to private on youtube).

Swim Day!

While Jessica and Mitch were staying with us, we went to the pool and did some swimming! They were both so excited to get in the water. I was taking pictures, and the entire time Jessica kept asking if I was recording or taking pictures. She decided it was OK if I recorded video, but it was absolutely not OK if I took pictures. I snuck a few pictures in :) Mitch was very brave, and with some coaxing from Matt jumped into the pool into Matt's arms. After the first time he did it, he was so excited and wanted to do it over, and over, and over! He was so excited that Matt had to tell him to wait a few seconds so he could catch him. Here is the video, sorry it's sideways, I couldn't figure out how to rotate it :(

We had so much fun at the pool, and it definitely wore them out! Here are a few pictures, I didn't get any good pictures of Jessica, because she thought she was being "recorded".

4 months old today!

Emma is 4 months old today, I seriously can't believe it! I keep thinking I need to blog more, but can't seem to find the time! Work has gotten a lot easier, I changed my schedule so I'm only working 3 days a week (10 hours a day). We also changed our babysitters for Emma, and it works out so great now! It is not easy leaving your baby with anyone, but when you find someone who will love them almost as much as you do, you know it 's a good thing. I have Mondays and Fridays off, and work Tues/Weds/Thurs. It's a pretty ideal schedule, even though it stinks waking up at 5 a.m. to be to work by 7 a.m., after I just woke up at 2 a.m. to feed Emma. It's all worth it, because I know that me working helps provide for her, and that's all that matters. She completes me! When she's older, we'll watch Jerry Maguire together and she'll understand:

Ok, that was just me using an opportunity to plug one of my favorite movies of all time. Best. Movie. Ever. I just had a great idea for my next post. 

Anyways the purpose of this post, was to show off how cute Emma is! I'm posting pictures for you all to see. Yes, I am one of those people, who take tons of pictures of their kids and force feed them to others. Love it or leave it!
